A Look Back At MDD Expo 2014

On the 8 and 9 of April, almost 550 exhibitors gathered in Paris and took advantage of 19,000 square meters of exhibiting space to showcase their know-how to 5569 professional visitors.

Those in attendance also enjoyed a selection of events centered around private label brands such as: Themed visits, innovations store, tasting experiences, and the pack store; all of which received praise from the professionals on site. 

As a consequence, the buyers of the large to medium sized retail, hotel and restaurant catering or food-service businesses have had the opportunity to source their up and coming star-products through the many international trends of the food and non-food industry related to private label brands.

Here's a brief review of what happened at the event.

MDD Expo 2014 in numbers :- 550 exhibitors (31% of which were international) - 5569 professional visitors : CEOs, managing directors, managers, head buyers, engineers... - 16 % of foreign visitors from Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal Germany, Sweden, Russia...- 7 complimentary sectors from the food and non-food industry.

The Innovations Store : the premium shopping centre for innovations. More than 180 innovations were gathered and organised in three different areas in this dedicated space : they come from large international retailers, or the manufacturers who are also taking part in the fair. The non-food industry innovations are exhibited in the “Home'Store”, a source of inspiration and novelties that proved very successful with the professionals of the industry.

“Done deals” at the Business Meetings

The Business Meetings (a tailor made business meetings service, scheduled over the two days of the fair) have seen no less than 168 meetings taking place during MDD expo 2014. Retailers, decision makers, caterers or suppliers enjoyed a top of the range service that helped materialise joint development projects.

The Conferences were a unique opportunity to exchange information with the experts of the industry and to discuss the current matters in the world of private label brands. An audience of 775 people got the chance to learn, or to better their knowledge of the private label brands industry as it is today.

MDD Expo 2015 will be running from 31 March to 1 April at Porte de Versailles, Paris.
