Germany's Aldi Süd has launched 'Mein Fan-Pudding', a promotional campaign that encourages shoppers to design their ultimate dessert topping, and see it rolled out across stores later this year.
Customers can upload their creations to the Aldi Süd Facebook page between now and April 5th, and the creation with the most votes will be introduced as a new product, featuring the name of its creator, in the group's stores in early September.
Voting will take place between 17 and 23 May, with the winner receiving an electric scooter valued at €3,799 as well as the honour of seeing its creation on the shelves.
It's not the first time that Aldi Süd has called on its Facebook fans to assist them with product creation - last year, shoppers were called on to help design the new look can for the 'Riv’n' energy drink, while in 2014, shoppers helped design packaging for the 'kokett' napkin range.
A spokesperson for Aldi Süd said that this year's contest will enable shoppers to present their "unusual and crazy flavours" for dessert toppings.
