Asda has launched a range of roast-in-the-bag flavoured whole chickens.
The seven-strong range, with flavours such as Garlic & Herb, Extra Tasty, Sage & Onion Stuffed, Zesty Lime & Coriander, features on-pack recipes to encourage customers to use the leftovers once again. An on-pack QR code links to a series of further recipes.
The new range has been in Asda stores for just under a fortnight and has already been 'going down a storm' with shoppers, according to head of mear quality at the retailer, Jim Viggars.
"Thanks to our new Simply Roast in the Bag Chicken and the leftover recipes which come with it, it's goodbye to wasted leftovers and hello to another delicious meal - a win-win."
The new range went into 500 Asda stores last week, and is priced at £5 for a 1.6kg chicken.
