Dansk Supermarked has announced plans to revamp its cross-channel commerce programme. The project will include all of its 1,300+ stores in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and Poland.
Changes at the Bilka.dk unit are expected to increase sales to 2.4 billion kroner by the year 2016. The programme will carry out consumer research and user tests. The work will result in the supermarket chain offering more products for sale on the Internet and new services in online shopping. Customers will have access to "a seamless and convenient cross-channel shopping experience”, said the group. (14 Jun) © 2012 ESM: European Supermarket Magazine
