Edeka has launched an environmental awareness campaign with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
The campaign, which was launched today, includes TV, print and online media elements, all featuring the famous black-and-white WWF panda.
In the new WWF-themed TV commercial, the WWF panda becomes a life-sized shopping assistant, who accompanies customers to the Edeka private label products featuring the panda logo, while in a travel diary on www.edeka.de, the WWF panda reports from sites where EDEKA and WWF work together on the environmentally-sound production of food, from cod fishing in the Baltic Sea to a Peruvian coffee plantation.
Edeka has worked with the WWF for four years, with particular focus on sustainable fishing. Since 2012, this partnership has been expanded to include themes such as wood, paper, palm, soya, climate and freshwater.
The iconic black-and-white WWF panda logo can now be found on more than 230 Edeka private label products.
