Intermarché Portugal Launches New Private Label Brand

Intermarché, part of French retail group Les Mousquetaires, has launched a new range of locally-sourced products in Portugal under the 'Terra de Sabores' private label brand.

'Tradition', 'Portuguese identity' and 'regionalism' are the three words that describe the brand, according to the retailer, which describes the new offering as a "range of traditional Portuguese products, with handmade flavour, from various regions of the country."

The products are directly linked to regions of Portugal, including groceries (regional dry cakes, Ribatejo rice, Alentejo and Tras-os-Montes olive oil, traditional Portuguese sweets and traditional ready meals), fresh and frozen products (butter from the Azores and cream puffs), cheeses and cold meats.

The Terra de Sabores products are already available in all Intermarché stores throughout Portugal, with plans for the introduction of new product categories in the medium to long term.

Separately, Intermarché announced that its Drive service is now available in four stores in Portugal (São Domingos de Rana, Póvoa do Lanhoso, Lagoa-Carvoeiro and Calda das Taipas near Guimarães).
