ITM (Intermarché) is seeking to increase the share of its private label sales in Poland.
According to local reports, the retailer is keen to increase the share of its private label sales in Poland to 30%. With its current share resting at 20%, the independent French grocery retailer estimates that it will take from five to seven years to achieve this figure.
ITM has also announced that it intends to establish its own food production site in Poland within three years, with the retailer reportedly set to acquire a manufacturing plant in the near future. In France, the home market of ITM (Intermarché), the retailer operates 60 manufacturing sites, which generated a turnover of €3.5 billion in 2012.
