Netto Marken-Discount's Own-Brand Tuna Fillet Range Earns MSC Certification

Netto Marken-Discount's private-label canned tuna fillet range, sold under the Dreimaster banner, has acquired MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) certification.

The MSC certification ensures that the product uses tuna from certified, eco-friendly fisheries which do not engage in overfishing.

In addition, the product has also acquired a certification from the WWF and features the WWF 'panda' logo.

The logo is awarded to products that meet WWF-recognised standards for sustainability.

Presently, the retailer sources more than 80% of its private-label fish from sustainable sources.
