The theme of the conference is 'Romancing The Customer: How To Increase Private Label Sales', and the programme kicks off on Wednesday 27 February with an overview of the German retailing market from Denise Klug of LZ Retailytics, followed by a store tour to some of the city's key supermarkets.
The following day will see presentations from Natalie Berg, author and founder of NBK Retail, who will examine retail and consumer trends in Europe; Jon Wright, head of retail insight at IGD, who will look at the rise of the 'smart store' and how retailers are adapting their store environments to new technologies; Robert Kuiper of Brandnew Design, who will examine private label packaging and design; and Thomas Streath, former CEO of advertising agency Jung von Matt, who will look at the rise of new media channels.
Finally, the theme of 'Romancing The Customer' will be discussed by Regan Leggett, executive director of thought leadership and foresight at Nielsen.
