Sainsbury’s Introduces ‘Freefrom’ British Sausages

British supermarket chain Sainsbury’s has announced the introduction of new British frozen pork sausages to its ‘freefrom’ private-label food range.

The ‘freefrom’ sausages are now available in around 500 stores as well as on the Sainsbury’s online shopping website.

The frozen sausages contain 72% pork.

They retail at £2 for a packet of 10.

Back in 2002, Sainsbury’s was the first UK supermarket to launch a privale-label ‘freefrom’ range.

It is the UK’s largest retailer of frozen ‘freefrom’ items.

Late last year, Sainsbury's overtook Asda and moved into the number two spot for the largest supermarket in the UK, second to Tesco.
