Sales Of Nisa's Private-Label Brand Heritage Up 53%

Following the relaunch of its award-winning Heritage private-label range in June, British grocery retailer Nisa has revealed its own-brand sales have risen by 52.6 per cent since then.

More than 400 lines have been launched in the range since the relaunch in the summer.

Heritage Gourmet sausages have seen sales double, compared to the same period last year, and is now Nisa’s third-biggest seller in the category, folllowing its thick pork and thick pork and beef sausages.

Commenting on the sales performance, Ian Bishop, Nisa marketing director, said: “It’s fantastic to see once again the success of another newly branded Heritage product, which not only looks fantastic but tastes delicious too, and the figures show just how popular they really are."

He continued: "Revamping the range is proving so successful we have recently been recognised for our pies and pastries range at the Wholesale Quality Food & Drink awards, winning the pies category for our individual steak pie, and claiming second place in the same category for our individual pork pie.”

The rebranding will be rolled out across cooked meats, ready meals and bread products in the coming months, said the retailer.
