Tesco Slovakia Expands Its Finest Range

From now on, customers of the British retailer in Slovakia have access to more than 200 private-label products of the highest quality.

Dozens of new Tesco Finest products hit the shelves in November, the retailer said in a statement. The extended private-label range includes quality coffee, tea, chocolate, honey, jams, original Italian pasta and other products.

"For us, private labels, in general, represent a unique opportunity that enables Tesco to distinguish itself from other retailers, as we offer our customers exceptional added value,” a spokesman for Tesco Stores SR told ESM.

According to Tesco Slovakia, the great advantage of private brands is the fact that their quality guarantees not only the producer, but also the seller. Tesco stands by the quality of its own brands, and under the '100% Satisfaction Guaranteed' programme, it guarantees money back if the customer is not satisfied with the product.

In Slovakia, the Tesco Finest range now includes 227 products. Apart from foreign specialties in the Tesco Finest series, customers can also find Slovak products, such as confectionery, cakes, meat products, ice cream and wine.

Tesco entered the Slovak retail market in 1996. Today it operates more than 150 outlets in the country.
