UK grocer Waitrose has launched the Popping Candy Tart. The dessert was created by chef Heston Blumenthal. It is being sold under the ‘Heston from Waitrose’ range.
The new Heston Candy Tart, retailing at £16.99, contains dark chocolate with fruit puree on a hazelnut base. "Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a little magic which comes in the form of the popping candy on top of Heston’s delicious tart," said the grocer. The new tart was described by Heston as "a delicious tart that springs a surprise".
Waitrose says the pie can serve up to ten people. (12 Dec)
