Walmart Launches Voice Order Service On Apple's Siri

Walmart has announced that Apple users can now access its voice order service through Siri.

In April of this year, the retailer launched the Walmart Voice Order facility in collaboration with Google.

How It Works

The retailer has introduced a new Siri shortcut for online grocery purchases using an iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, HomePod or CarPlay.

After pairing Walmart and Apple accounts, customers can ask Siri to add items directly to their Walmart Online Grocery cart.

To add an item to the Walmart shopping basket, customers name the product after saying 'Add to Walmart'.

Once the shopping list is complete, customers place their orders and opt for store pick up or home delivery.

Better Shopping Experience

The service was designed to provide customers better shopping experience and save time on grocery purchases.

As customers use the service more frequently, the shopping experience will get better, Walmart said in its statement.

For example, the voice order system will identify the accurate items based on purchase history when a customer asks for a product.
