2 Sisters Food Group has announced that it has completed the sale of its Manton Wood sandwich business to Samworth Brothers.
Commenting on the sale, president of Boparan Holdings Ltd, Ranjit Singh, said, “It is a significant deal and marks another positive step forward in the transformation of our business.
“It further strengthens our balance sheet and demonstrates we are following through with our promises and focusing on our key strengths."
In October of 2018, the company confirmed its intention to sell the business.
The CMA cleared the transaction in December of last year.
'Important Step'
Chief executive of the food group, Ronald Kers, added, “This sale is another important step in our journey to become a streamlined and high performing business. We have much more to do but we are progressing well.”
The unit, located at Manton Wood in Nottinghamshire, produces chilled sandwiches, wraps, and rolls.
