Aldi Süd Extends Its Office Space

After two years of construction, german retailer Aldi Süd has completed two new, sustainably built office buildings in Mülheim an der Ruhr (Germany).

Located in the Burgstraße, in the Styrum district, the new offices will provide a full-time workplace for more than 500 staff in Administration, IT and Logistics & Services.

"The five-storey buildings are convincing through their elegance and they match the existing buildings and site perfectly. Through using photovoltaic systems on the roofs of the buildings and LED lighting, we have also achieved optimal energy efficiency. With the new buildings we want to provide an optimal working environment, in which all feel comfortable and like to work," said Alexandra Schilling, Head of Branch Development and responsible for the construction project.

The new offices will provide additional parking for more than 950 cars, electric vehicles and bicycles and a daycare centre with 100 spaces, open to both local children and children of employees.
