Aldi Süd Welcomes New Trainees

Over two thousand graduates and professionals have commenced a (re-)training programme in retail at Aldi Süd, in Germany.

The new Aldi training programme covers retail positions in sales, buying and stock management,  as well as various positions in office management, IT  and administration.

The programme offers a varied learning experience through a mix of theory and practical work experience. It includes events - such as field trips and competitions - to encourage team spirit and develop the trainees' problem-solving skills.

"The training at Aldi Süd is of a very high standard. In addition, our new trainees experience a fair and friendly working atmosphere and are an important part of the team, from the beginning. Varied activities and opportunities to take responsibility at an early stage, increase motivation and build confidence", said Christiane Kosmas, Head of HR Development at Aldi.

Aldi Süd operates through 31 regional companies in southern and western Germany, with around 1860 stores. The company currently employs around 38,300 people, including more than 5,300 trainees.
