Aldi Süd has launched a recruitment campaign specifically aimed at addressing young professionals and those leaving student education.
Slogans used in the campaign include 'Deine Zukunft? Safe!' (‘Your future? Safe!) and 'Unsichere Zukunft? Nicht mit uns!' (Uncertain future? Not with us!), and highlights training positions within the retailer that offer future prospects.
'Usually there are many training fairs and activities at this time of year, or career information events,' the retailer said in a statement. 'All of these events are now cancelled due to the COVID-19 epidemic. So, another way had to be found quickly to inform the target groups.'
The campaign, which will be rolled out via online channels, as well as social media, also seeks to address parents and teachers through the distribution of handouts and posters in the group’s branches.
In order to get in touch with applicants during the pandemic,Aldi Süd is testing new recruiting methods such as conducting interviews with would-be personnel by video conferencing, and participating in online recruitment fairs.
