Carrefour donated almost 4,953 tonnes of foodstuffs – equivalent to 10 million meals – to food banks around the world between October and December in 2015.
The food was donated as part of Carrefour’s third international Food Bank collection campaign, which was coordinated by the Carrefour Foundation and supported by the European Food Bank Federation and the Global FoodBanking Network.
Over 1,400 Carrefour employees volunteered to help Food Bank workers in more than 2,217 stores across ten countries: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Spain, France, Italy, Poland, Romania, China and Taiwan.
