Portuguese retailer Sonae MC has invested €3 million in a new Continente hypermarket, located in Oficinas de São José, near Braga.
The new hypermarket offers a wide range of products, consisting of tens of thousands of SKUs, with particular emphasis on fresh and local produce.
The store features a bakery, butcher, fishmonger, and fruit and vegetable areas, where customers can find information about the origin of the products.
Expansion
On occasion of the opening, Continente is offering a 10% discount for one week on purchases with the Continent Card loyalty scheme, which is already used by 3.7 million households.
With the opening of this new store, there are now 14 Continente outlets in the district of Braga. Overall, the retailer operates more than 240 stores across Portugal, including both hypermarkets and supermarkets.
