Coop Bau+Hobby, one of the leading building suppies stores in Switzerland, has celebrated its 40th anniverary.
With 84 stores all over Switzerland, Coop Bau+Hobby also offers an online shop with a pick up and delivery service. The 80,000 articles on offer include a large selection of ecological and regional products.
The Coop Bau+Hobby story started with the opening of the first store in the basement floor of a Coop supermarket in Bern in 1976. It did not take long until the first flower-center opened, followed by the first big Coop Bau+Hobby store in Rickenbach, as we know it today.
Due to the rapid development of the digital age, Coop Bau+Hobby offers tutorials and video tips for house maintenance. Last year, the company generated sales of 633 million Swiss francs.
Customers and employees alike can benefit from a special anniversary sale until 24 September.
