'Growing by Custo' is the name given to Custo Barcelona's clothing collection designed exclusively for the supermarket chain Lidl Spain.
This is the first time a retailer has carried out this kind of collaboration with an international fashion designer in the country. The limited edition collection includes more than 300,000 items which have almost entirely sold out after having been on sale for only a week. According to Carlos Gonzalez Vilardell, Marketing Director at Lidl Spain, "in Lidl we are very satisfied with the sales of the collection 'Growing by Custo'. It is the first time we have embarked on an adventure of this nature and we have made a very strong bet. A quantity of more than 300,000 pieces is more than we usually launch for a single action. Most pieces were sold out on the first day, which is more than satisfactory, and we reaffirm our commitment to this type of collaboration. "
