Dick Boer To Be New Ahold CEO

Dick Boer has been named as the successor to current chief executive of Dutch supermarket operator Ahold, John Rishton. Rishton, who will leave his post next March, is taking up the role of CEO of Rolls Royce PLC. Boer is currently the chief operating officer of Ahold, and has been with the company since 1998.

Sander van der Laan, the General Manager of Albert Heijn, will take on the role of COO, while Carl Schlicker, currently the CEO of Ahold USA Retail, will take on the role of COO Ahold USA. Kimberley Ross will remain in her position as chief financial officer.
