Did you know...According to Nielsen, British supermarkets are set to lose out on £55 million worth of sales due to England's early exit from the World Cup? Compared with the four weeks preceding the start of the World Cup, sales of alcohol, soft drinks, bagged snacks, pizza, chilled party food and bread rolls jumped by over £50m in the first week of matches, however sales immediately slumped after England's exit. Maybe Dick Boer won't encounter such problems at Ahold, as the Netherlands are still powering on… Did you know...13 per cent of the French population have bought a football in the past 30 days? World Cup fever seems to have really taken hold. We wonder will these people still be playing now that the French team has gone the same way as the English... Did you know...Carrefour Brazil, Mondelez and Tetra Pak have teamed up to operate recyclable materials drop off stations in 138 locations around Brazil? They receive waste paper, plastic, metal, glass and Tetra Pak packaging and the idea seems to have really caught on with the Brazilians. Hopefully this will give the World Cup clean up committees a few less things to worry about… Did you know...Copenhagen is currently the Green Capital of Europe for 2014? The city consistently ranks high on lists such as the most liveable and most pleasant cities in the world and now it can count itself as one of the greenest. Did you know...Asda's Tickled Pink breast cancer campaign in the UK has raised £40 million over the past 17 years? The funds raised by the sale of pink products and colleague fundraising efforts go towards breast cancer care as well as research into preventions and cures…
