Russian retailer Dixy Group has been awarded the title of 2017 ‘Best Legal Department’ among retailers operating in the country, by the Corporate Lawyer magazine and Action&MCFR publishing house.
The retailer’s legal and compliance control department competed with 11 other federal Russian retailers for the award, coming out on top for the second consecutive year.
According to a retailer statement, the contest determines the most efficient legal services in Russian and international companies. KPMG Russia and CIS were engaged to participate in developing the contest questionnaire and methodology.
Cross-sector Contest
The contest features 15 nomination categories with 96 companies from various sectors participating in the final, out of 120 applications.
The criteria used to select the winners included process automation, efficient function arrangement, the variability of tasks resolved, customer focus, and team professionalism, according to the Dixy Group.
The Russian retailer was recently awarded the 'Znak Kachestva' (Russian Quality Mark) for two of its private label products, namely its ‘Baby Boom’ baby toilet soap and ‘Victoria’ green peas.
