Dutch Retailer Albert Heijn Launches New Loyalty Campaign

Supermarket chain Albert Heijn has launched a new loyalty campaign, in collaboration with TripAdvisor affiliated online restaurant-booking service, IENS.

Customers can collect a free AH restaurant-stamp with every €10 worth of shopping, and will need ten stamps to avail of a second three-course meal or second lunch free of charge.

The stamps will be issued for four weeks, from 18 April, but full cards can be redeemed until the end of October 2017, at 1,000 restaurants across The Netherlands.

The restaurant-stamp loyalty campaign has seen two successful previous editions. Last year, the campaign secured more than a million restaurant bookings.

This year, the campaign has issued a separate loyalty card for each of the twelve provinces in The Netherlands, with the intention of promoting the participating restaurants in their own locality.

"The AH restaurant campaign offers people an accessible way to experience the many great restaurants in our country. It also offers restaurateurs an excellent opportunity to present their restaurant to new guests," said Niels Keizer, CEO of IENS.
