Edeka Stores Take 'Deutschen Frucht Preis' Awards

A number of Edeka outlets have won categories at the annual Deutschen Frucht Preis awards, which acknowledge excellence in fresh produce retailing in Germany.

Edeka Görge in Braunschweig, Edeka Stenger in Aschaffenburg, Edeka Ueltzhöfer in Heilbronn, Edeka Center Wagner in Coburg, Edeka Kolb in Volkach and Hieber’s Frische Center in Bad Krozingen were among the stores acknowledged at the annual event.

Chief executive of Edeka AG, Markus Mosa, praised the stores for offering the "highest quality standards" and for partnering with local producers, "which makes your ranges so special."

The Deutschen Frucht Preis is an initiative by Fructhandel magazine as well as Rundschau für den Lebensmittelhandel. The awards were presented on May 12 in Baden Baden.
