Ethnic Foods Europe is Europe’s only trade show with a unique focus on ethnic food and beverage. As a powerful platform for networking, attendees can find innovative and authentic recipes, taste healthy and delicious foods, and be informed on the latest market developments in Asian, Arab, Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Turkish, North African, Middle Eastern, Afro-Caribbean, and other world foods. Over 50 brands from more than 20 countries will be hosted at the 2015 edition.
Supermarkets And Other Retailers
With ethnic food being the fastest-growing category in European supermarkets, supermarket chains are reaching out to a new and rapidly changing audience.
"Since 2014, we have added ethnic foods to our portfolio. As organisers of the largest foodservice show in the Netherlands (Horecava), we are very aware that once-considered ethnic foods are becoming common parts of the family meal,” says Luuk Scholte, exhibition manager Food at Amsterdam RAI.
"The choices in ethnic food are countless, and it is our goal to offer a solid choice in ethnic products that today’s customers want. This gem in the food industry has so much to offer that it deserves a leading show in Europe, and although the 2015 edition is still modest in size, we intend to lay the foundation for a considerable expansion in 2016."
International Attraction
The last edition brought category managers and buyers together to see, smell, and taste a wide variety of food products and discuss the possibility of implementing new ethnic products on supermarket shelves and other foodservice programmes. The category manager of Makro Cash and Carry Belgium, Patrick Verhoeven, noted that EFE is "a great opportunity for me and my colleagues. There will be a huge assortment of products on display from all over the world. It’s wonderful that we have such a prime event here in Europe."
