The first two months of 2015 have been very sluggish for the hygiene/beauty sector, in France, a new study has found.

The study, by Iri, shows that in supermarket and hypermarket sales for the Health and Beauty division fell significantly: including a drop of 2.9 per cent for Hair Products, and 2.3 per cent for Body Hygiene products.

Emily Mayer of Iri commented, “The large sectors which have been experiencing growth during the last two or three years, such as deodorants, shower gels , and toothpaste are all at present experiencing a decline [in France].”
