Ipercoop Rome Reopens Following €3 Million Renovation

Italian retailer Coop has reopened its Ipercoop hypermarket in Rome's Euroma2 shopping centre after a €3 million renovation project, according to Gdoweek.

The Ipercoop store in Rome was first opened in 1971, but was relaunched last week. The investment has not modified the store structurally (it is still around 5,000 square metres in size), however, it has changed the store's concept, placing more focus on fresh produce and convenience for customers.

Selection

The store promotes both local and international products, with a selection of organic produce, fresh meat and fish counters, sushi, craft beers and wines, as well as private label lines such as La Bottega del Caffé and Gli Amici Animali.

In terms of non-food purchases, there is a Coop Salute pharmacy section, and an area for DIY products. There is also a new refreshment area with an ice-cream shop, bakery, and lunch area.
