Russian Retail Operator Lenta To Open Its Third Hypermarket In Tatarstan

Russian retail group Lenta has announced it will open a new hypermarket in Almetyevsk, Tatarstan.

With construction near completion, the store is scheduled for opening in the fourth quarter of 2014.

It will be the retailer's third store in Tatarstan. According to the retail group, the new store will have a  total area of 10,000 square metres - 50 per cent of which will be for trading purposes.

It will also come with a car park of 500 spaces.

The company also plans to develop a network of stores in Kazan, and is currently researching land plots for its needs.

Founded in 1993, Lenta's first store in Tatarstan opened in Naberezhnye Chelny in 2008.

Its second outlet in the area opened in Nizhnekamsk two month ago.
