Lisbon Adds Two Pingo Doce & Go Stores

Portuguese retailer Jerónimo Martins has opened two more Pingo Doce & Go convenience stores, a format developed in partnership with BP Portugal.

The two new stores have been opened on the premises of BP Portugal filling stations in Parque das Nações (Lisbon) and in Corroios (Municipality of Seixal).

The Pingo Doce & Go store format was rolled out in 2015 and had been available at two locations in the greater Lisbon area: Estrada da Luz and Restelo.

The mini-supermarket offers fresh, dairy and frozen products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, newspapers and magazines, tobacco, as well as a cafeteria and take-away service.

Pingo Doce had hit a milestone of 400 Portuguese stores in January, and is currently celebrating 25 years of its private label brand with a multimedia campaign and discounts for customers.
