Belgium-based grocery retailer Louis Delhaize has developed a proximity concept for its Match supermarket banner in France.
The convenience format has been rolled out in Lille so far with a selling space of 700 square metre (7,500 square foot). The store has an aubergine and green colour scheme running through it and shelves are at a lower level than with the usual Match format, according to Planet Retail.
“It has been about creating a more urban and more neighbourhood atmosphere for everyday purchases," said agency AKDV, who developed the design. (29 Nov)
