Retail development firm Majid Al Futtaim has confirmed that the opening of a new Carrefour hypermarket at the Dubai Festival City development is set to take place shortly, bringing the number of Carrefour hypermarkets in the United Arab Emirates to 23.
The Dubai Festival City development includes a two million square food shopping mall, including Ikea and Marks & Spencer outlets, as well as the forthcoming Carrefour development.

In a statement, Majid Al Futtaim said that 'Carrefour is proud to cater to the needs of the Garhoud community and the surrounding neighbourhood. This strategic expansion is planned to take place just before Ramadan, demonstrating Carrefour’s commitment to offer quality and value at competitive prices to their clients'.
Carrefour also operates hypermarkets at other Majid Al Futtaim retail developments at City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif.
