Metro Group has plans to open four additional cash and carry stores in India by the end of 2012. just-food reports that the German retailer is to open two wholesale branches in Zirkpur, Punjab, with another two stores planned for Indore, in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
Metro currently has 11 wholesale stores in operation across India and the group said it "would like to keep a steady and sustainable expansion pace in India." (26 Sept)
