Naturhouse Starts Operations In Hungary

Naturhouse has opened its first outlet in Hungary. The Spanish franchise, which specialises in diet foods, increased its presence to 31 countries and 2,160 outlets.

According to granconsumo.tv, the expansion into the Hungarian market was done through an agreement between the master franchise and the local association Natur Diet ZRT, owned by Makra and Zoltan Ban. The company is planing to open 50 stores in the next seven years.

Naturhouse considers Hungary to be a "key country in Eastern Europe" due to its growing population and positive growth perspectives for the next few years.

Felix Revuelta, President of Naturhouse, noted that Hungary has an expected GDP growth of 2.5 per cent in the near future and "no doubt this will allow us to benefit from an expansive cycle, as well as from the experience that we already have in the region, in which we count over 450 outlets at the moment."

The company increased its net income by 1.3 per cent in 2015 reaching €22.9 million. Last year it opened its first shop in the UK.
