Jerónimo Martins has announced the appointment of a new chief executive to its Biedronka retail operation in Poland, commencing 1st January.
In a statement, the company announced that Luís Araújo will assume the General Manager position at Biedronka. He departs the role of General Manager for Pingo Doce, its Portuguese retail operation, which he has held since 2012.
Jerónimo Martins said that the move was carried out in the 'scope of the process of reviewing the offer and improving customer experience that is underway at Jerónimo Martins's largest retail chain'.
Isabel Pinto has been named as Luís Araújo's successor at Pingo Doce.
