Rudolf Matkovic has been appointed as managing director of Edeka South-West with immediate effect.
Matkovic replaces Dr. Detlev Weiler, who left on 22 August due to 'differing strategic views', according to Edeka.
Matkovic (55), who joined the company in 1995, is now responsible for purchasing, shop design and quality management, with chief executive Harald Rissel now taking responsibility for expansion, production operations, logistics and corporate communications.
Rainer Huber has responsibility for controlling, finance, accounting, organization, legal, general administration, central services, IT and HR.
