Ocado Launches Paleo Diet Range

Pure-play online supermarket have created a new online shopping aisle for followers of the Paleo diet.

The diet is a nutritional plan based on the presumed diet of the Paleolithic humans.

Different to a weight-loss diet, the Paleo diet involved people adapting to the diet of the Paleolithic period.

It consists of nature-made foods - mainly fish, grass-fed pasture-raised meats, eggs, vegetables, fruit and nuts.

The Internet food shopping company said it noticed a rise in British people adopting the Paleo way of life and in response to this, the new aisle consists only of foods accepted within the diet.

Ocado has partnered with Paleo expert and author, Joy Skipper, to create the aisle which consists entirely of paleo-friendly foods.

Skipper recently launched her cookbook, The Paleo Diet Made Easy - the second book in her Paleo series.

Earlier this month, Ocado launched an ‘Ireland shop’ on its eCommerce website. Assisted by Irish food agency Bord Bia, the web-based food shopping store introduced 43 quality Irish brands such as Avonmore, Clonakilty, Barry’s and Bewley’s.
