Italian retail and purchasing consortium Italy Discount is continuing to expand with the addition of Pozzoli Food, which has 13 stores with a total sales area of 17,130 metres-square.
The new partner is active in the Lombardy region, in the municipalities of Milan, Monza, Brianza, Lecco, Como, Varese and Bergamo. It also has plans to open three new stores.
Pozzoli Food is the seventh partner to join the consortium, after the recent arrival of Centro 3a (five stores in the Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d’Aosta regions) and Coal (eight stores in Marche and Abruzzo).
The other partners are Realco (77 stores in Emilia Romagna), Tatò Paride (98 stores in Puglia and Basilicata), CDS (over 30 stores in Sicily) and Isa (25 stores in Sardinia).
Italy Discount has over 300 neighbourhood stores in two different formats (small and medium-sized), offering consumers 2,600 products of which 1,300 are private label, encompassing 53 brands.
