Russia's X5 retail group has announced that it has opened its first Pyaterochka store in Krasnoyarsk, in the Siberian Federal District.

The store, located at 134 Bograd Street, has a sales area of more than 500 square metres.

It offers around 5,000 SKUs, comprising local products from Siberia as well as brands from Krasnoyarsk including DiHleb, Sibirzhinka, and the Krasnoyarsk Food Company.

Business Expansion

The retail group also opened another Pyaterochka outlet, at 47 Aviatorov Street in Krasnoyarsk, and two stores in Abakan in the Republic of Khakassia.

Six new stores will be launched in the two regions before the end of this month, the company said.

Three stores will open in Krasnoyarsk, two in Divnogorsk, and one in Sayanogorsk, and combined, they will provide employment for around 140 people.

By the end of this year, Pyaterochka aims to create around 900 new jobs in Khakassia and the Krasnoyarsk regions.
