British supermarket chain Sainsbury’s has cut the price of diesel by up to 2 pence per litre and unleaded by 1 pence per litre across its 300 forecourts from today.
The latest price drop is the fourth time since the start of July that the supermarket has dropped the price of diesel.
Customers will also be able to collect Nectar points on every fill-up - one point on every litre purchased.
Speaking on the new pricing, Avishai Moor, head of fuel at Sainsbury's, said, “Now the summer holidays are here we know that families will be using their car more, so from tomorrow we’re once again dropping the price of diesel and we’re also cutting the price of unleaded at all our petrol stations. We know that fuel is a big expense and we are committed to helping our customers go further for less.”
