Russian supermarket chain Dixy Group said late last week that sales rose 19% during the month of March.
It compounds a 16.5% sales increase the retailer experienced in the previous month.
First-quarter like-for-like sales grew 4%, year-on-year, after rising by 3.8% in the fourth quarter of 2013, Dixy said in a statement. The number of stores Dixy operates in the country rose from 1,544 in the first quarter of 2013 to 1,825 in its most recent quarter.
