Slovenia's Petrol Sees Group Net Profit Up 15% In H1
Slovenia's largest fuel retailer, Petrol, has posted a first-half group net profit of €39.1 million compared to €34 million a year ago, boosted by higher sales, the company said on Friday.
Sales rose by 13% to €2.4 billion, the company said. EBITDA stood at €78.8 million.
Sale of merchandise and related services accounted for 19% of the group's EBITDA, with sales of energy and environmental solutions accounting for 13%, sales of liquefied petroleum gas for 7%, sales of other energents for 5%, and electricity generation from renewable sources for 4%.
The group sold 1.6 million tonnes of petroleum products in the first half of the year, which is 2% higher than in the same period last year. Merchandise sales were 12% higher, year-on-year.
In June of this year, the Petrol Group announced its strategy for the period 2018 to 2022, in which the company outlined plans to cement its position as a 'sustainable and excellent supply of energy for homes, vehicles and businesses'.
As of the end of June 2018, the Petrol Group operated 495 service stations, of which 317 are located in Slovenia, 105 in Croatia, 39 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 12 in Serbia, 11 in Montenegro and 11 in Kosovo.
