Spar Austria Introduces Dedicated Health, Nutrition Section

Spar Austria has introduced a new dedicated health, nutrition and wellbeing section at its Interspar hypermarkets across the country.

Following the retailer’s 2017 sugar reduction initiative ‘Weniger vom Zucker - mehr Genuss’ (‘less sugar, more enjoyment’), the retailer is now turning its focus to providing customers with products focussed on regeneration and vitality.

The range includes as many as 165 different products, including supplements, natural medicine, vitamin tablets and fish oil, among others.

Keeping Fit

For people looking to keep fit, the new Interspar range includes naturally functional foods and superfoods, according to the retailer.

The new range is well-sorted and clearly arranged with the aim of making it more convenient for customers to find healthy and nutritious products.

The retailer said it hopes to offer an all-round range for wellbeing and health for every taste. That’s why it offers snacks and foods to support such a lifestyle, such as nut mixes, super fruits, Spar’s ‘Vital’ goji berries and healthy seeds.

Last Summer, the retailer launched a range of superfood ‘rainbow’ juices under its ‘Spar Enjoy’ private label brand.

Most recently, Spar Austria pledged to remove palm oil from all its private label products by the end of the year, due to environmental and health reasons.
