Two new Spar stores have opened in Meizhou, in the Chinese province of Guangdong, the first of their kind to open in the region.
The first store, Spar Wanda, was unveiled on 23 September. The store covers 8,800 square metres and is located in the Wanda Shopping Mall.
In keeping with the Spar food ethos, fresh produce and grocery items will be among the 20,000 products available in store as well as fashion accessories.
In addition, Spar Jailing Aoyuan was opened on 28 September, a hypermarket covering 10,000 square metres across three floors.
Spar Guangdong plans to further expand Spar stores in the area and plans to open a third store in December.
