Spar UK Launches New Partnership With Marie Curie Charity

Spar employees in the UK have sported yellow daffodils in support of the terminal illness charity, Marie Curie, as part of a new partnership with the charity.

Stores across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland also carried donation boxes during the month of March. On March 31st, the final day of the Great Daffodil Appeal, which is Marie Curie’s largest annual fundraising campaign, Spar employees gave up their time to raise money for the charity.

Helping The Community

Commenting on the new partnership with Marie Curie, Debbie Robinson, Managing Director of Spar UK said: “Both Marie Curie and Spar are active in serving local communities throughout the UK and we at Spar are also passionate about giving back to those communities and being there for them.

“We hope that in raising money for Marie Curie, we will make a real difference for those affected by a terminal illness.”

Spar has said it will continue to support Marie Curie fundraising campaigns throughout the year, including the charity’s Blooming Great Tea Party in June.
