Tesco Direct To Introduce £2 Fee For Under £30 Orders

Tesco Direct is to introduce a £2 handling fee for click-and-collect orders with values of less than £30 on February 2 in a move it has described as necessary to ensure the service remains “sustainable”, theguardian.com reports.

This will supplement a £4 pound fee for orders worth under £40. Both charges fall under Tesco Direct, through which it sells goods such as electrical appliances, DIY products, clothing, furniture, etc.

“To ensure our Click & Collect service remains sustainable for the future, from February 2 we will be introducing a £2 surcharge on all Tesco Direct Click & Collect orders under £30,” a spokesperson for Tesco said.

“We want to provide customers with a great online experience and continue to offer customers the convenience of our Click & Collect service at every Tesco store across the UK.”
