Tesco Ireland Opens New Dublin Store

Tesco Ireland has opened a new store in Airside Retail Park, Swords, which is the retailer's 149th store in Ireland.

Tesco now employs over 13,000 people in Ireland, and the new supermarket in north Dublin will create an additional 85 jobs.

Speaking at the official opening, Tesco Ireland CEO, Andrew Yaxley said, “We are delighted to be able to create 85 new permanent positions at our new Tesco store in Swords, which is a great boost for the local community.

“The store layout is designed to provide an enhanced more engaging shopping experience which we hope our customers enjoy.”

“Our new store offers the best of fresh and local food to customers, with the community at the heart of the shopping experience," said Redmond. "We offer an extensive range of fresh food including a bakery, butcher, fish counter as well as a salad and sandwich bar to help busy shoppers who need food on-the-go."

The new store will focus on fresh, local and seasonal produce. It measures 22,358 square feet, and includes a café, pharmacy, medical centre and take away. It also has 229 free car parking spaces, features a dedicated electric car charging point, and a click and collect service.
