Victoria Chain Opens 50th Supermarket In Moscow Region
The Victoria chain of supermarkets, a division of Russian retailer Dixy Group, opened its 50th supermarket in the Moscow region on 21 February.
The new 24-hour store opened one day after the start of the 2017 Maslenitsa festival, which is the Russian equivalent of pancake week, and the new supermarket’s in-store bakery hit the ground running to produce 16 different kinds of pancakes to mark the occasion.
In addition to fresh bakery products, the supermarket offers a range of around 7,000 grocery products and general goods, as well as convenience foods, such as ready-to-eat-meals.
The supermarket also shares its retail space, of around 880 square metres, with a Khutorok store-in-store, where customers can find local products and fresh produce from the Tver Region.
The Dixy Group is one of Russia’s leading retailers of food and everyday products. It currently operates 2,802 stores, in 778 towns across the Central, Northwestern, Volga and Urals districts and the Kaliningrad region.
